What is lavender?

Lavender is a woody, silver-leaved herb with slender purple flower spikes. It has been used in bathing, skin care and perfumery for centuries. In skin care, it’s most often used as a hydrosol—the aromatic floral water produced when the flowers are steam distilled, as an essential oil, or as an oil infused with the flowers.

Lavender benefits for skin

Lavender contains naturally occurring antioxidants that help protect skin from everyday environmental stress. It has a gently balancing and toning quality and helps calm the look of redness, leaving skin feeling comfortable and refreshed.
