What is rosemary?
Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus, formerly Rosmarinus officinalis) is an evergreen herb native to the Mediterranean. It has been used in kitchens, gardens and traditional skin and hair care for centuries. In skincare, it is most often used as an infused oil, hydrosol or extract.
Rosemary benefits for skin
Rosemary is rich in naturally occurring antioxidants, including rosmarinic acid and carnosic acid, which help protect skin from everyday environmental stress. It has a fresh, toning quality and can help leave skin feeling refreshed and comfortable.
